Have you ever wondered how chicks develop within an egg? How do they get oxygen? Where does the waste go? This talk will take you through a bit of avian reproduction, how eggs are produced, and the amazing process of the development of a chick within the egg. You will never look at an egg in the same way again!
Amy Sanders from Wild Care, a local wildlife rehab center on the Outer Cape, will be with us on Tuesday, July 1 at 10:00am for our first TENT Talk of the summer, to educate us about us how baby birds develop within an egg.
*Complimentary coffee and pastries will be served so you're welcome to join us a few minutes early for a snack
About the speaker: Amy Sanders is the Volunteer Coordinator for Wild Care, and also a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator, as well as having done many, many volunteer hours there for the last 7 years. She also sometimes writes of her wildlife adventures for their e-newsletter, Duck Tales. Amy lives in Truro, with her menagerie of pets.
