Acoustic Rosewood is a trio composed of Cory Fronte on rhythm guitar and lead and harmony vocals, Louie DeMayo on lead guitar, mandolin and lead vocals and Allen Cohen on upright bass and lead vocals. Allen and Louie played in bluegrass bands together years ago and reconnected last year and was added to the then existing duo of Cory and Louie. Acoustic Rosewood’s music falls into the Americana genre, with selections from bluegrass, classic country, folk, blues and today’s singer-songwriters. A typical performance might feature selections from the catalogs of Bill Monroe, Ray Price, Loretta Lynn, Hazel Dickens, Merle Haggard, Kitty Wells, Woody Guthrie and relative newcomers Vivian Leva and Riley Calcagno, Sierra Ferrell and many more. In addition, Cory and Louie might add their own originals. Whatever the set list is at the Richmond Town Tavern, attendees are sure to be entertained with a wide range of material. This indoor concert series will take place in the restored Guyon Tavern, located on Richmond Road. The Tavern boasts a wood-burning stove, flickering candles, live music and the true feel of a 19th century saloon. Beverage options harken back to the period and include hot spiced apple cider, scratch made mulled wine, as well as a refreshing selection of beers.
