In a distant galaxy, a renegade space pilot (Bill Pullman) and his trusty half-dog, half-man sidekick (John Candy) must save a princess (Daphne Zuniga) from the evil clutches of the Spaceballs, led by President Skroob (Mel Brooks) and the dastardly Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis). This Mel Brooks cult space comedy, is endlessly quotable and parodies films from Star Wars (“May the Schwartz be with you”) to 2001: A Space Odyssey to Alien.
