History is coming to life at RTP180, Frontier RTP’s quarterly speaker series, with “History Behind It!”  On Thursday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m. join experts from across the Triangle, including Tim J. Gabel of RTI International, Dr. Janet Malke of Duke University, Atinuke Akintola Diver of THIS BELONGS TO US and Allan Troxler and Dr. David Jolly of NCCU, as they delve into the untold histories that have shaped our community. In just 300 seconds or less, each speaker will share unique insights on topics such as the history of Research Triangle Park (RTP), the AIDS crisis in North Carolina, Black women in the beer industry and organ donation.  

Arrive at 5:00 p.m. for a networking session with complimentary beer, wine and popcorn, and the chance to connect with local professionals. Chat with Research Triangle Foundation’s VP of Planning & Public Policy, Travis Crayton, about RTP’s history and future and representatives from two of Frontier RTP’s longest-standing tenants, DTS Language and Cloud Giants, about how establishing their headquarters in RTP has fueled their growth. Plus, mingle with experts from the Museum of Durham History and Raleigh Historic Development Commission (RHDC) to get a closer look at Durham’s foundations and discover fascinating insights into Raleigh’s history and preservation efforts.
