Last year the race was held at Lake Crabtree with 130 people registered.  Willaim Peedin  (21:24) and Maggie Verwiel (19:43) took the top spots in the 5K.

Once again, the race, which includes a 1-Mile Walk in addition to the 5K, will be held at Lake Crabtree Park located at 1400 Aviation Parkway in Morrisville, starting at 9 am.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the National MPS Society in their fight to find cures for MPS and related diseases.

The National MPS Society has raised over $5 million through fundraising efforts for research of MPS and ML diseases.  Every dollar raised will go to research - EVERY DOLLAR.

Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and related diseases are genetic lysosomal storage diseases (LSD) caused by the body's inability to produce specific enzymes. Normally, the body uses enzymes to break down and recycle materials in cells. In individuals with MPS and related diseases, the missing or insufficient enzyme prevents the proper recycling process, resulting in the storage of materials in virtually every cell of the body.
