  • Jessica Yasenchak, of YazziJ (Michaels on Legacy Ave)

    • Jessica Yasenchak, of YazziJ has been crafting for as long as she can remember. After one of her children suffered a serious health condition, she wanted to give thanks to the people who helped her while her child was in the hospital – that’s when she created her first “message in a bottle.” When she realized all her projects came from a place of love and understanding, she decided it was time to share them with the general public and officially launched YazziJ on MakerPlace by Michaels—the online handmade marketplace dedicated to supporting U.S.-based makers and artisans.
  • Tian Xu, of A Ball of Wool (Michaels on S State Rd)

    • Tian Xu, of A Ball of Wool started her shop as a way to share the joy she finds in crochet and to bring these small, unique pieces into people’s lives. A Ball of Wool began for Tian as a hobby born out of her love for crochet and the endless possibilities yarn can offer.
