The Apollo Area Memorial Day Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Plaza Memorial, organized by Apollo Hose Company No. 2. The program will honor veterans, military personnel, police officers, and fire and EMS personnel.

The guest speaker will be Mr. Anthony Shea, Armstrong County Commissioner and a retired U.S. Air Force Major with 22 years of service. Mr. Shea graduated from Leechburg High School in 1985, holds a master’s degree in telecommunications from Webster University, and has received the Defense Meritorious Service Award for his various assignments in Germany, Kosovo, and Iraq.
