The Bennett American Legion and Auxiliary will conduct Memorial Day Services at the Veterans Memorial in Inland Cemetery. The public is invited to attend to honor those who have served their country and community in times of war and peace. Capt. Nate Moeller of the Rock Island Arsenal will be this year's guest speaker. In the case of rain, services will be held at the Bennett Legion Hall in Bennett, Iowa.

On Memorial Day, we remember All Veterans - those who gave their lives in service to their country and those who returned to the community and are now at rest.

Memorial crosses with large poppies and American flags have been placed on all veteran graves at Inland and New Liberty cemeteries. Auxiliary members are remembered with a poppy spray.
