Maker Faire Long Island Returns for Its 8th Annual Celebration of Creativity and Innovation.

The 8th annual Maker Faire Long Island will take place, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Long Island Explorium in Port Jefferson, NY. A part of the global Maker Faire network, this highly anticipated event showcases the intersection of creativity, technology, and innovation across science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM).

Last year’s Maker Faire Long Island drew thousands of attendees and featured a diverse lineup of makers from across the region. This year promises to be even bigger and better, with exciting exhibits, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations designed to inspire and engage visitors of all ages.

Highlights for 2025 include:
Adam Foster’s Royal Trumpets: Majestic 15-foot kinetic pyrotechnic sound sculptures.
Mandalorian Mercs Costume Club: Bringing the Star Wars universe to life.
Long Island Drone Soccer: An electrifying sport combining drone technology with soccer.
Princesses with Powertools: Empowering young engineers with hands-on projects.
Balloon Bot Brawl: A thrilling robot showdown led by high school maker Ray Rumore.
Learn to Solder Workshop: Taught by Elijah Horland of Mythbusters Jr, sponsored by PCBWay.
Ray's Robots: Interactive robotic exhibits by maker Ray Rumore.
PopDraw: Engage in sketching and drawing inspired by pop culture and cosplayers.
Saber Guild Endor Temple: Performances and training sessions inspired by Star Wars lightsaber combat.
Upsculpt: Transforming marine debris into beautiful, sustainable sculptures.
