It’s the Art League of Long Island’s 62nd Long Island Artists Exhibition! The Art League of Long Island invites artists from Suffolk, Nassau, Brooklyn, and Queens to submit entries to the upcoming juried exhibit featuring works by artists who call the four counties of the island home. The biennial exhibit and will be on view in the Art League’s spacious Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery.
Entry for each artist is limited to five works not previously exhibited in the Art League of Long Island’s gallery, one of which may be chosen from among submissions by the exhibition juror. Two and three-dimensional original work in any medium may be submitted, including photography and fine craft, with the exception of videos. Two-dimensional work may not exceed 62” high by 50” wide INCLUDING FRAME and 40 lbs. Three-dimensional work for display on pedestals may not exceed 15” wide by 15” deep by 30” high. Three-dimensional work designed to stand on the floor may not exceed 28” wide by 28” deep by 60” high. Three-dimensional work may not exceed 50 lbs. All accepted work must be suitably prepared for gallery display. Full details on entry requirements can be found in the prospectus.

About the Juror: The Art League is honored to have Matthew K Ward serve as juror for the Long Island Artists Exhibition. Matthew K. Ward is an art historian, curator, and writer based on Long Island, NY. He is the Eugene V. and Clare E. Thaw Director of the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in East Hampton, NY and the former Senior Director of Curatorial Affairs at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, TX. He holds a PhD in Art History and Criticism from Stony Brook University.
