Join us for the Listening Room Film Festival!! Friday, December 6, 7 and 8 and 13, 14 and 15. Friday and Saturday, 3pm to midnight. Sunday 3pm  to 9pm

The festival will be both physical and virtual, featuring local and regional films from the southeast area. A retrospective component will include films that were produced by local filmmakers that are important to the continuance of Louisiana filmmaking and its history.

The festival is held at Henry Turner Jr.'s Listening Room located at 2733 North Street,  Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70802. Phone Is 225-802-9681.

Films entered should have an aspect about or on musicians, actors, entertainers and people who were pioneers or influencers in the entertainment industry. Additionally films can be entered that have Louisiana music in their soundtracks, as well as actors, writers, directors, producers and crew members from the state

3:00 pm:  Doors Open - Music, Music and More Music
3:15 pm - 3:35 pm: Hub City - Robby Robinson (Music Driven Short) Set against Austin's cosmic cowboy music scene of the early 70's, Hub City follows a reluctant seeker hero into the past he hoped to leave behind.
3:45 pm - 4:50 pm: I Live Alone in My Heaven   Astrid Bscher (Documentary) A personal portrait of German bass singer Gunther Groissbock who travels the world singing Grand Opera. The film explores the loneliness of being on top.
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm: Keynote Speaker - Charles (Chuck) Bush What's the difference between making indie films and major features? Exploring Distribution Rights and What's it like to make films in Louisiana.
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm:Twin Stories - Charles Bush - (Documentary) Parallel lives decades apart of brothers and sisters in New Orleans
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm: Music Performances
