Katie Pederson
Nashville based pop-piano songstress with Michigan roots
Katie Pederson is a Nashville-based singer & songwriter, influenced by Sara Bareilles, Elton John, and Patty Griffin. Her music is led mostly by the piano, with acoustic guitar as a secondary sidekick. Her lyrics weave stories through the mountains of Western Canada to the forests and plains of the Northwest United States, reflective of her time spent on the road with songs told in story form that make listeners feel as though they are in the passenger seat. Katie moved to Nashville in pursuit of songwriting, and while classically trained in voice and piano, listeners can expect to hear a wide variety of songwriting for both her own solo career, as well as artists in the genres of Americana, pop, and country that she has written songs for, such as Detroit’s Rocky Wallace, Nashville’s Bronte Fall, and her own Michigan based Americana trio, The Rebel Eves. In celebration of a decade of artistry in the music industry, Pederson’s latest singles are raw and reflective arrangements, paying homage to her younger self and celebrating perseverance in an ever-changing music industry.
