Join the Town of Nantucket in celebrating Independence Day with a full day of festive activities across Main Street, Children’s Beach, and Jetties Beach.

Main Street Area
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM - Sustainable Nantucket's Farmer’s Market on Cambridge Street between Federal and South Water Streets.
8:30 AM – 12:30 PM - Food trucks will be available on Federal Street between Main and India Streets.
9:00 AM - 26th Anniversary Reading of the Declaration of Independence
Unitarian Universalist Church, 11 Orange Street.
10:00 AM – 12:30 PM - Music by DJ Scott Capizzo
10:30 AM - Annual Water Competition
The Nantucket Fire Department faces off against the Boynton Lane Reserves in a playful water barrel-filling challenge. Expect to get wet in the designated “Spray Zone”! Participants will not handle fire hoses but are encouraged to enjoy the fun.
Please do not bring water balloons, soakers, or similar items.

Children’s Beach
10:00 AM – 10:20 AM - National Anthem and patriotic songs performed by P.J. Moody at the bandstand.
10:30 AM – 12:00 PM - Matt Fee Tea Toss on the lawn
Cornhole tournament on the lawn
Face painting near the boat ramp and playground corners
10:30 AM – 11:00 AM - Nanpuppets Puppet Show at the bandstand
11:15 AM – 11:45 AM - Magic Mark performs at the bandstand
11:55 AM - Bike Parade around the park
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM - P.J. Moody returns for more live music at the bandstand
5:00 PM - Children’s Beach Games: 3-legged race, wheelbarrow race, potato sack race, and the crowd-favorite Tug of War

Town of Nantucket Fireworks at Jetties Beach

Enjoy a 25–27 minute fireworks show launched from a barge offshore.

Transportation to Jetties Beach
Starting at 6:00 PM NRTA Wave buses will depart every 10–15 minutes from in front of The Whaling Museum on Broad Street. Return service from Jetties Beach will continue until 10:30 PM.
