Coach Ariel Rak studied and performed short and long form improv with Magnet Theater (NYC) and the N.J. School of Dramatic Arts and was a member of ComedySportz before moving to Midland. Ages 18+


LEVEL I - IMPROV FOUNDATIONS

Tuesdays / 6:30 – 8:30 pm / January 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18 / $70

Improv is a lively, active, team sport that encourages us to live in the moment! Connect with teammates and explore the spaces outside of your comfort zones with coach Ariel Rak who will get you up and playing right from the start. Through games and exercises we develop creativity, flexibility, friendships, and thinking skills in a safe and nurturing environment. For those with no improv experience or those who just miss it.

              

LEVEL II – SCENEWORK

Tuesdays (+ two Thursdays) / 6:30 – 8:30 pm / February 25, Thurs. Feb. 27, (No class 3/4), Thurs. March 6, (no class 3/11), Tuesdays, March 18, 25 / $70

            You don't need to be funny... you just need to jump into character! 

Take your improv journey to the next level!  Build on the foundations of level I and dive into improvised scene work - the heart of improv. Through engaging exercises, we'll develop characters, highlight relationships, and craft meaningful (and hilarious) scenes together. Strengthen your ability to "Yes, And..." by actively agreeing with and building on your teammates' ideas in a supportive and playful environment. This class is perfect for honing creativity, collaboration, and adaptability.  Prerequisites: Improv level 1 or instructor approval.  

 

LEVEL III – PERFORMANCE SHOWCASE

Tuesdays (+ 2 Thursdays) 6:30 – 8:30 pm / April 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, Thurs. May 8, Tues. May 13, Thurs. May 15 / $112

Free Family & Friends Showcase - May 17 / 7:00 – 8:00 pm

It’s time to bring everything you’ve learned in Levels 1 and 2 to life! In this capstone class, you’ll collaborate with your fellow improvisers to create and perform a live show for friends and family. We’ll focus on mastering fun, high-energy games and sharpening your improv skills to deliver an entertaining performance. You’ll gain confidence, polish your stage presence, and experience the thrill of sharing your creativity with an audience—all in a supportive and laughter-filled environment.
Prerequisites: improv levels 1 and 2 or instructor approval.
