It’s that time again, giving season for the Rene G. Haley Initiative (RGHI)!

Join us as we host our 3rd Annual “I Don’t Give A 5K” fundraiser. What a great time we’ll have, and you can get your exercise on, rain or shine, we are back. This fundraiser will help us raise $10K and more for our upcoming programs and contributions to other organization(s) that provide sporting activities to support and encourage young people aged 5 to 25 in remembrance of Rene G. Haley.

Rene was an avid sportsman, participating in swimming, snowboarding, basketball, skateboarding, and flag football events.  He absolutely was not a runner.  But he would occasionally run a 5K to keep in shape for all the other sporting activities he enjoyed, and he supported his mom, who was a passionate runner, for many years at most of her races from 5Ks to marathons.

We thought as we celebrate his birthdate, April 30, it would be fun and certainly fitting to host a 5K that spoke to his unique spirit, thus, “I Don’t Give A 5K” was born and it continues.  Come as you are, walk or run, have fun, and support the RGHI.  If you cannot join us for the 5K (Walk/Run) we would appreciate your donation.
