June 24th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host Steve Kuhn, author of "Hard Work: My Life as a Clammer on the Great South Bay".  Mr. Kuhn started as a clammer in the late 1960's and is still working as a bayman today.  He will share personal experiences and interesting stories from decades of working on the water.  The program will be held at the Islip Public Library, 71 Monell Ave, 7-9 pm and is free and open to the public.  For more info:  isliphamlethistory.org, 631-599-2915.
