Join us at Harken Hall on Saturday, for Greengrass | Bluegrass - a night of both bluegrass and traditional Irish music...as well as a fusion of the two! Greengrass | Bluegrass is a first-of-its-kind show in Nashville, and is a proud part of Music City Irish Fest.

Nashville's roots are Scots-Irish. From the very first settlers John Donleson and James Robertson, they brought their culture and their music. It sounds cliché to say it, but the rest is history. Bluegrass and country can trace their heritage clearly all the way back to Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.

"Téada, "arguably the most vibrant and hard working traditional Irish music ensemble in the world today" (The Savannahian) will entertain fans with a set of traditional Irish music. Following their set, internationally touring bluegrass band Southern Legacy, which features the Tony Rice style-playing of Josh Williams and the high tenor singing and mandolin picking of Don Rigsby will hit the stage to perform bluegrass classics and some of their original songs. The evening will conclude with the two bands jamming together on stage, a beautiful fusion of different music styles from other sides of the world coming together in Music City unlike anything else you've heard before and will be sure to fall in love with.

Greengrass | Bluegrass will transport you across oceans, genres, back in time and snap you right back to the present as you watch these masters literally create music before your eyes….and ears!
