We are thrilled the annual Freedom Run 5k on July 4th in Bigfork will continue this year and for years to come! While Grateful Nation Montana no longer puts on the race, they will continue to benefit from race proceeds – enabling continued support for the surviving children of our Fallen Montana Military Heroes who were killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan Wars.

The Run/Walk is open to all ages and abilities, and is a great opportunity to come together to remember and give thanks to all of our Military families before Bigfork's 4th of July parade. Families and friends gather at Lake Baked around 8 a.m. for check in and the race begins at 9 a.m. The Freedom Run 5K heads out along the beautiful and scenic Wild Mile Nature Trail. Competitive Timing is out at the start and finish line and is found right in front of Lake Baked. At the finish line everyone enjoys cookies and medals! The annual Grateful Nation Montana Freedom 5k Run/Walk starts and finishes at Competitive Timing's arch right out front of Lake Baked bakery in Bigfork, MT. The annual GNM Freedom 5k Run/Walk heads out along the back of town and then up along the road to the Bigfork Nature Trail. This is an out and back run/walk. There will be a water station at the halfway/turnaround point on the Bigfork Nature Trail.
