Grand Rapids Public Schools Turkey Trot
The 32nd Annual Grand Rapids Public Schools Turkey Trot will take place on November 28, 2024 (Thanksgiving Day). Proceeds from the race help to offset the cost of Grand Rapids Public Schools athletics so that all students have the opportunity to participate.
Last year, 5,834 people participated in the race and more than $100,000 was raised for GRPS athletics.
“The Grand Rapids Public Schools Turkey Trot is a celebration of community, health and the incredible spirit of our scholars,” said Dr. Leadriane Roby, GRPS superintendent. “Each step taken on Thanksgiving morning supports our scholar-athletes and strengthens the bond between our schools and the city. We look forward to it every year!”
