23rd Annual Garden State Film Festival

7:00 pm - 10:30 pm: Friday Cocktail Gala - Opening Ceremonies

Friday Night Cocktail Gala includes cash bar and complimentary hors d’oeuvres kicks off the Garden State Film Festival weekend with the red-carpet premiere of The Ballad of a Hustler starring Bernardo Barreto, Emeraude Toubia, Robbie Johns, Drew Moerlein, Andrea Beltrão, Gino Vento, Patricia Black, and Robin Lord Taylor with special guests in attendance.

Join us for an exclusive screening of this gripping drama, where Jonathan, newly released from prison, learns that his ex-fiancée has mysteriously vanished, leaving behind her 6-year-old son. In a desperate search to find her, Jonathan and the young boy delve into the dangerous realm of illegal immigration. The screening will be followed by a Filmmaker Talk Back session, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the movie.

The evening will wrap up with an after-party, in the Soundbooth Bar at The Asbury Hotel lobby making this an unmissable event! Advanced registration is required.
