Friday, February 21, 2025, from 9 am to 12 noon, with particular emphasis on seniors, individuals with physical disabilities, and people with special needs. We offer designated handicapped parking and a shopper who focuses on delivering food directly to their vehicle.
We welcome all low-income families, seniors, and individuals who meet the eligibility requirements set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) low-income eligibility requirement. We are open afternoons and evenings and recently added a morning. You can come to the Food Pantry once (1) per week and two (2) times per month.
Residents of Utica, Rome, the Mohawk Valley, and surrounding areas are encouraged to use our services. We invite you to inform your friends and family about the JPC Food Pantry and its hours of operation through social media platforms, text messages, e-mails, or phone calls.
Please visit the JPC Facebook Homepage each Sunday on February 9, 16, and 23. We will share the weekly detailed information post and a flyer highlighting the food items available for that week. Attention to this will ensure you stay updated on the food items we will give to the community.
If you are visiting the Food Pantry for the first time, the head of the household must bring identification (I.D.) for everyone living in the household. We accept a variety of government-issued I.D.s, including:
1. Birth Certificates
2. New York State (NYS) Driver's Licenses
3. NYS Photo I.D.s
4. NYS Driver License Cards
5. NYS Benefit Cards
6. Medicaid Cards
7. Medicare Cards.
For those needing to recertify for the JPC Annual Low-Income Recertification, please bring your JPC Food Pantry Card (JPCFPC) and the required government identification for all household members. It's crucial to meet the eligibility guidelines set by the USDA, stated in the chart below.
If you are traveling by car, we have parking available. The entry point for our food distribution line is located in the 1400 block, starting from the corner of Arthur and West Streets and leading towards 1415 West Street at our registration station. Our dedicated registration personnel will scan each head of household's JPC Food Pantry Cards (JPCFPC). Please present a government-issued I.D. corresponding to your JPCFPC for verification to ensure a smooth process.
If you need to get your JPCFPC, our registration personnel may ask that you print your name and check for processed cards. If your card cannot be found, you must complete a new Food Pantry Intake Application.
If you, as the head of the household, are visiting the JPC Food Pantry for any of the following reasons:
a. To pick up your JPCFPC, but it is not located, please resubmit a new Food Pantry Intake Application.
b. For your first visit, please complete a Food Pantry Intake Application.
c. To add or remove individuals from your existing Food Pantry Intake application files.
d. To replace a lost JPCFPC.
