Curatorial Intern Pop-up Exhibition
Lost in Translation
On view through July 26
Dr. Sam and Jacque Kouri Collection Study Center
Visual art engages with space; music paints over time. Painting, sculpture, and photography capture our human experience through color, shape, and form, while music evolves over time, shaped by rhythm, melodies, and harmonies. Lost in Translation emerges from a fascination with how these two dimensions interact and overlap—reflecting how artists are limited in their attempt to fully translate the human experience into an art form.
Antonio Ramirez was the 2024-25 Ulrich Curatorial Intern, now a recent WSU alumnus, with a multidisciplinary background in Art History, Cybersecurity, and Entrepreneurship. Guided by his curiosity, Antonio is drawn to uncovering overlooked patterns and exploring the connections between art, culture, and innovation. He is inspired by the artists who have redefined what art can be—those who have challenged conventions, pursued truth, and left a resonating impression on the world for future generations.
