PROUDLY PRESENTS: “ALLIANCE”

From the clutch of a tyrannical czar in 1882 to the sandy soils of southern New Jersey, forty-three Jewish families escaped Russian persecution to take part in a first-time social experiment to form a cooperative agricultural-based community.

The documentary film, ALLIANCE, tells a unique and compelling true story of family immigration, growth, and community.  It looks at the foundational history of Alliance Colony, the first successful Jewish farming community in the United States.

This film will be followed by moderated panel discussion and Q&A with Alliance director, Susan Donnelly, and Jay Greenblatt, Alliance Colony Foundation founder and president, and founding member of Jewish Historical Society of Rural Southern New Jersey.  Other panel speakers: Tom Kinsella, Director of Stockton University’s Alliance Heritage Center & Nachum Helig, Alliance ancestor.

Tickets: $8 per person in advance, $12 per person at the door, Please call 856-696-4445 to purchase tickets.
