From Biltmore House to Antler Hill Village, fragrant wreaths, glittering garland, and thousands of sparkling ornaments create a one-of-kind holiday oasis. Dazzling by day, the house is truly magical during Candlelight Christmas Evenings, a 40-year tradition not to be missed.

Rarely do two such wondrous events occur within the same season. A sparkling spectacle sure to leave you spellbound, Christmas at Biltmore is your yuletide dream come true. Making the season all the more memorable: our thrilling exhibition, Chihuly at Biltmore.

Candlelight Christmas Evenings:

A majestic Norway spruce and pathway luminaries welcome you to America’s Largest Home®. Inside, thousands of ornaments reflect the soft glow of candles, fireplaces, and twinkle lights. The magic continues in Antler Hill Village, which is festooned with glittering lights, ornaments, and displays.

To experience the spectacle known as Candlelight Christmas Evenings is to step back in time to the very first Christmas at Biltmore House in 1895. Gently illuminated by candles, the air filled with the scent of fresh pine, the sound of crackling fireplaces, and a feeling of childlike wonder, the house is a holiday vision made real.

Antler Hill Village Illumination:

5:30 p.m. – 12 a.m., Daily

Bask in the glow of a glittering cascade of lights illuminating trees, buildings, and the pathways that connect Antler Hill Village’s unique shops, restaurants, and Winery. Experience this must-see part of the Christmas at Biltmore tradition, which includes festive displays adorning our relaxing Winery, where complimentary tastings await.

Complimentary Wine Tastings:

12 p.m. – 6 p.m. daily

Hosted in our inviting Tasting Room, our Complimentary Wine Tastings are yet another extension of the Vanderbilts’ signature gracious hospitality.

Our knowledgeable wine hosts will introduce you to some of our Winery’s most popular and award-winning vintages, while also sharing a brief history of Biltmore’s vineyards and wine operations.

Reservations are not required for your complimentary wine tasting at our Winery; these tastings are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Minimum age of 21 to be served wine. Grape juice available for underage guests!

Exclusive 90-Minute Tour: A Vanderbilt Christmas:

Famous for holiday hospitality since 1895, Biltmore invites you to experience an exclusive Candlelight Christmas Evenings expert-guided tour of America’s Largest Home®. Not only will you discover the inspiration for this year’s spectacular seasonal décor, you will also enjoy heartwarming stories about the Vanderbilt family, their guests, and staff during this special time of year, as well as access to parts of the house unseen on other tours.

Available only with Candlelight Christmas Exclusive Tour, House, Exhibition & Grounds ticket option. Expedited entry for all exclusive tour guests. Guests must be 10 years of age or older for this tour. Backpacks are not permitted on guided tours; guests are required to store backpacks in a locker or in their vehicle.

Limited Capacity: 8 Guests per Tour

$395-$420 plus tax per person with Candlelight Christmas Exclusive Tour, House, Exhibition, & 2-Day Grounds ticket option

Tour unavailable on the following evenings: Nov. 19, Nov. 28, Dec. 24, Dec. 25.

Self-Guided Visit to Gardens:

Stroll acres of formal and informal gardens designed by America’s foremost landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. From the Walled Garden and its soaring glass-ceilinged Conservatory to the Italian Garden to the magnificent trees in America’s first managed forest, Biltmore’s lush landscapes are living tributes to Olmsted’s genius. In addition to Biltmore’s gardens and grounds, Olmsted designed a multitude of public parks and recreation grounds, including the grounds of Central Park in New York City and the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
