Join the Gurnee American Legion on Veterans Day to pay tribute to America’s living veterans who answered the call to serve our country. Veterans Day, Nov. 11, is the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918, and today a holiday to honor all veterans. American Legion posts, districts and departments observe Veterans Day by participating in or hosting parades, luncheons, ceremonies and more.
