Break free from flatland and transform everyday materials into dynamic 3D sculptures! As part of Banks Violette: American Standard, this hands-on workshop invites participants to explore Sculptural Assemblage, a creative process that repurposes household items, paper, recyclables, branches, and more, into expressive, dimensional artworks. Before diving in, attendees are encouraged to view the Banks Violette: American Standard exhibition to draw inspiration from the headlining artist’s works. Using paper-folding techniques, simple fasteners, and found materials, you’ll construct structures that range from temporary guerrilla installations to lasting pieces. Whether you’re interested in ephemeral street art or personal sculptural creations, this workshop will inspire you to see the artistic potential in your surroundings.
